| I hear this story from a lot of people. There are many things that can cause this. Did you put Winter Tires on? they usually have a higher coefficient on friction ( this includes rolling friction) The change in air density. This will cause your tires to be up to ten lbs lower than their pressure in the summer ( more fricion again) Higher overall friction in the air from a denser relative atmosphere ( I think this theory is relatively negatable ) Denser Intake Charge. More air through the MAF meaning your car dumps more fuel to keep AFRs correct. Many people claim their cars are faster in colder temps. Also, many people claim that some gas stations even slightly change their gas blends in the winter with something that makes less efficient. ( dont ask me how or why, seems alittle bogus to me ) But like I said, many variables... and I'm sure I just named a few.
